Dana Terrace's Noteworthiness

Updated: Nov 30, 2021

Dana Terrace is a very eminent and gifted creator. She's been a good artist for a while, but The Owl House was the very first show that Terrace wrote and produced, and it was a hit. When her show started gaining lots of popularity, Dana Terrace was extremely grateful. Not because it would give her fame and wealth, but because she wanted The Owl House to be a safe space for everyone despite how you identify, your race, class, age, or how "weird" you are.

Terrace's goal was to make a place where everyone was welcome, to make a place where everyone could fit in, and to normalize not being normal. Nothing was going to prevent her from doing so. When people said she couldn't have any LGBTQ+ representation in the storyline, she got upset until she was given permission to include it. When she started getting hate and disapproval, Dana Terrace ignored it, knowing that there were still people out there that needed her show. When Disney decided that The Owl House didn't fit into "the Disney image", Terrace didn't let it stop her flow and is working with what she has.

This is why Dana Terrace is eminent. She strives to work toward what she believes in, and doesn't let obstacles get in her way. When Terrace decided that she's passionate in helping those who don't fit in feel safe and proud of who they are, she did everything and anything to do just that. With this mindset, Dana Terrace has impacted lives.

I hope that people are entertained and learn that if you are a little weird, if you don’t feel at home somewhere, then there is a place for you somewhere. You just have to look a little.”
